meet Olga

Let’s get acquainted . I’m Olga Markova, who, at 52 years old, decided to try to make her dream come true. I was born in Kazakhstan, in the beautiful city of Almaty, where the snow touches apple orchards and smoothly turns into blooming parks with roses. Since my parents were geologists, I spent my entire childhood outside the city, traveling with expeditions in snow-capped mountains and in flowering steppes and in scorched semi-deserts. Everywhere I was surrounded by the beauty of nature and its endless diversity. I could always spend hours admiring this countless number of natural masterpieces.
After graduating from the university with a degree in Colloidal Chemistry and a pedagogical focus, I went to live in the wonderful small Baltic country of Estonia. This new country for me opened a special page in my love for nature. The life of people in this small part of the world has always been very closely connected with nature. The organic nature and meticulousness in the design of flower beds, bouquets and gardens amazed me with their neatness and sophistication. It was in Estonia that I first tried to work as a florist, where I acquired my initial professional skills.
Years later, life again threw me into a new country – America and again discovered a new and amazing world of ever-blooming California, where the number of beautiful plants delights you. Here I was able to work in a flower shop and get to know local florists and their style of work, which is not at all similar to the European one. Enjoying the natural diversity, I started a small garden at home, which I enjoy doing now.
For me, my little garden is a place , where I recharge my energy and relax my soul. It always seemed strange to me that I have some kind of special connection with the world of plants, which distinguishes me from many people. Recently I was given a DNA test and everything became clear. It turned out that my percentage of Neanderthal genes is much higher than that of most people, which is why I communicate with nature so closely. Fortunately, I had the opportunity and decided to try myself in the flower business. I hope we will be able to please people with our creativity and give them the opportunity to enjoy the unique world of nature. Welcome to our world of Beauty and Harmony, to our flower Cosmos.
